In the immediate aftermath of The Cooper Temple Clause break up chief song writer and lead guitarist Daniel Fisher decided a career as an Author beckoned. He stepped off that path and released his debut album as red kite â€˜Songs For Crowâ€™. â€˜Montrealâ€™ the lead single became iTunes Single of the Week in Canada and other adventures ensued. Exactly 4 years on the second album is now complete. â€˜Racquetâ€™ was recorded at The Lodge in Northampton and mixed by Paul Gregory (Lanterns on the Lake). It is a somewhat feistier affair than itâ€™s predecessor and brings the live energy of the six-piece band (3 very loud guitarists, bass player and two drummers) to the fore. In relation to the new album Dan says â€œItâ€™s mainly two extremes, two precise points in time, maybe itâ€™s about time travel? On the one hand itâ€™s about someone whoâ€™s getting older and shouldnâ€™t be doing this and needs to move on but canâ€™t, whilst on the other it transports back to childhood and living in the woods. The two worlds juxtapose and collide. As a kid the world is strange and mysterious yet also full of wonderâ€�. â€˜racquetâ€™ will be released on BLOOD / Red Essential.
