Description
Over five years after "Hell in a Bottle" was unleashed, VOMIT DIVISION come back to the scene of the crime. Their second attack, "Hangover Highway", is a high-proof cocktail of savage black/thrash with a dash of snotty punk and rock'n'roll, served with a side of broken glass and biting sarcasm. The songwriting has matured into something even more unpredictable, refusing to be constrained by genre conventions and effortlessly shifting between furious violence and eerie, almost melodic restraint.
This is black/thrash unchained. One moment you're headbanging to classic, catchy riffs typical of the style; the next you're plunged into pure black metal darkness or caught off-guard by old school heavy metal passages. The result is an intense and dynamic listening experience where "Bad Decisions Make Good Songs" is not just a title, but a mission statement. Lyrically, the focus remains mostly on sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, but with a darker, introspective and brutally honest edge.
While this German band remains a one-man vision, the inclusion of a session drummer along with guest guitarists and vocalists has helped in sharpening their blades. For those who crave the blackened intensity of DESASTER, URN, NIFELHEIM, DESTROYER 666, GOSPEL OF THE HORNS, AURA NOIR and BATHORY, or the booze-soaked mayhem of WHISKEY RITUAL, MIDNIGHT, TOXIC HOLOCAUST and HELLRIPPER, this album is an absolute must.
VOMIT DIVISION have returned to claim their status as the ultimate soundtrack to your next blackout.
