    Includes a BONUS DVD: "Who the hell is Allan Pettersson?"), a 52 minute interview made in 1974 for Sveriges Television. Subtitles in English.Between 1951 and his death in 1980 Pettersson composed sixteen symphonies but only six other works.The 4th Symphony is a single movement combining chorale-like passages with more modernist ones and is dedicated to the composer's deeply religious mother. The 16th, occasionally jazz-scented, features a wild opening section memorably marked "frenetico".
