Known to fans of traditional bluegrass throughout the country, Big Country Bluegrass has been making music for nearly 30 years now. Led by husband and wife Tommy and Teresa Sells, the group's musicianship and sweet harmonies make for unique and powerful music. Having grown up in Southwestern Virginia, a real hotbed of bluegrass music, the group has a particularly strong appeal to many fans for whom traditional bluegrass is second nature.
This new 13-song record features a nice mixture of wonderfully played standards like "Easy Memories" and "Just an Old Friend" as well as excellent newer material, including two songs by the legendary Tom T. Hall and his late wife Dixie. With their latest album, Big Country Bluegrass delivers the excellent, classic bluegrass that fans have come to expect. -
