The Rebirth Brass Band has made and will continue to make appearances in HBO's Treme. Rebirth drummer, Derrick Tabb, was a top ten finalist for CNN's Hero of the Year Award in '09 for his organization, Roots of Music. The program continues to give free, year-round tutoring and music instruction to over 100 students in New Orleans.
