The Theatre Of The Ears; Carsten Eckert; Alexandra Koreneva
Description
The title Ein Goldbergwerk translates as 'A Gold Mine' and the works presented on this new CD are indeed pure gold.
Alexandra Koreneva is a Russian harpsichordist and pianist, one of the brightest persons of the Moscow Conservatory, the creator of the popular Internet blog BAROQUE4YOU.
She finds a source of great inspiration in the Baroque music and the historical performing practice. Today all possible ways of performing are open for her: some of the world-famous musicians are among her friends, her recordings start coming with the most reviewed labels, such as Naïve, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi and Berlin Classics.
She is accompanied on this disc by Carsten Eckert, one of the most miscellaneous and in-demand recorder players of today.
His constant "wandering" between the so-called historical performance practice and 20th/21st century music offers the recorder player Carsten Eckert a wealth of inspiration for musical activities both inside the country and on the international stage.
Together on this CD they perform works by JS Bach, CPE Bach, WF Bach and George Telemann.
