  • Description

Spanish music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and their influence on the whole of Europe, are the focus of the work of ensemble Concierto Iberico. This disc focusses on town pipe music frm c 1600.

"We play this music on various historical instruments, with each musician mastering several wind, keyboard or plucked instruments; quite in the spirit of the historical sources, where people like to speak of "all kinds of instruments" for this repertoire. Occasionally we also work with dancers or singers. We particularly enjoy presenting our music at historical locations. With our programs we would like to promote the cultural exchange that has existed since the Siglo de Oro, the golden age of Spain and has never come to a standstill since then." - Concierto Iberico.
