Description
Ensemble NeuRaum, founded and directed by the Carinthian composer Bruno Strobl, presents a range of new and newest Austrian music, including works of the award-winning composers Peter Jakober and Hannes Kerschbaumer.
The ensemble is unique in its combination of instruments: the core group includes – besides conventional orchestral instruments – zither, dulcimer and accordion, with the idea to enlarge the repertoire of those traditional folk music instruments and to re-establish them in art music.
This is an exciting musical journey that aims to link tradition with the contemporary.
