Arthur Godfrey was one of the most beloved American television personalities of the 1950s, showcasing popular entertainers of the era. These included The McGuire Sisters, Julius LaRosa, Janette Davis, The Mariners, Marion Marlowe, Frank Parker, The Chordettes and others on this 61 track compilation.
As well as the material from these artists this set also has Godfrey's own popular recordings, such as "Count Your Blessings", "Lazy Bones", "The Trail Of The Lonesome Pine" and "Too Fat Polka".
The second disc of this set contains all the selections from Godfrey's outstanding 1953 Christmas LP, including many recordings appearing for the first time on CD.
