Available on any format for the first time, and remastered for vinyl by Dave Marino with remixed tracks by Brian Merill and produced by Robbie Rist, Songs from Sharknado includes songs from the cult classic films Sharknado and Sharknado 2: The Second One, plus previously unreleased bonus tracks and remixes from Sharknado: The 4th Awakens and The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. Songs from Sharknado features music by Quint which is the brainchild of Sharknado franchise Director Anthony C. Ferrante and Musician/Producer Robbie Rist and features many different genres from rock, power pop, alternative and even an old school ode to New York. The theme song "(The Ballad of) Sharknado" is a 1970s era rock throwback with instantly catchy hooks and presented in three different versions for this release. The tracks are performed by Rist and Ferrante, with additional musicians including singer Susie Rose Major (Facedown, Rag Dolls, Rocktober Blood) and The Wrong Dots featuring Jeremy Cohen (Let's Talk About Girls, The Liberators, The Lads), and Karen Basset (The Pandoras, Rebel Pebbles).Ferrante has helmed 25 feature films that run the gamut of horror (Boo, Nix, Dante's Hotel), westerns (Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch) and of course sharksploitation (including all six Sharknado films). Rist is best known as a multi-talented musician and producer, as well as an actor best known as Cousin Oliver on The Brady Bunch, the voice of Michelangelo in the 1990s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles feature films, Whizz in Kidd Video and the voice of Stuffy on Doc McStuffins. He also makes an appearance in the original Sharknado as Robbie The Bus Driver.Quint began life as a band that creates original songs for most of Ferrante's films. They currently have a catalog of 85 tracks and still counting. Songs from Sharknado features original art by Garreth Gibson (including a pop-up Shark center label) and is pressed on three colorful, limited-edition vinyl variants.
