Description
Britain's first improvising jazz sax trio formed in 1973 and touring extensively in Europe; composing and performing the music for a contemporary ballet in Paris during 1974. Recording was done over January/February 1975. Previously released on LP, the CD version first released in 2006 has now been repressed for 2022.
"The effect of these three virtuoso improvisers interweaving lines not only with each other but also with their own previously recorded duos and trios is, at times, quite stunning." - Roger Cotterell
Alan Skidmore: tenor saxophone, drums, percussion
Mike Osborne: alto saxophone, percussion
John Surman: baritone and soprano saxophone, bass clarinet, synthesizers
