  • Description

    Written and recorded during 50 Lockdown Days in January / February 2021, Alarm fans could only ever get hand-made copies of this record when it was completed on February 25th 2021 with lead singer Mike Peters determined to wipe the master tapes on the same day. Luckily, Mike was talked out of that act of artistic sabotage by producer George Williams, and now we have the official retail release of Omega by The Alarm which is set for June 17th 2022 on Vinyl and CD for the very first time.

    The music is as good as anything The Alarm has ever created, from the opening Protect and Survive to their unique take on the Massive Attack classic Safe From Harm which features an unexpected duet between Mike Peters and Skindred frontman Benji Webbe!

    The album as originally conceived, also made a brief appearance on music streaming sites which generated some overwhelming positive reviews before being taken down and made 'dark', when it became clear to all concerned that this record deserved a proper full scale worldwide release;
    DAILY MIRROR - "Big Tunes, huge choruses and buckets of passion."
    CLASSIC ROCK - "Bursting with heart."
    SCOTTISH MUSIC NETWORK - "A masterpiece."
    CNN - "The Alarm capture zeitgeist on new album."
    YORKSHIRE TIMES - "The Alarm recapture the hunger… if iThe Clash had still been together in 2021 chances are, they would sound something like this."
    SUBBA CULTCHA - "epic - career-best songs."
    ROCK AND ROLL TRUTH - "A masterwork."
    DAILY EXPRESS - "The 68 Guns boys deliver....."
    AMERICAN SONGWRITER - "Triumphant."
    SPIN - "Play it Loud... anyway, anyhow, anywhere."
