This sixth volume in the early stereo series, which began with two previously unreleased experimental stereo recordings of Richard Strauss' Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche and Brahms'
Violin Concerto, made for the American Music- Appreciation Records label by EMI engineers in July and August 1954 [FHR58], features some of the earliest commercial binaural (stereo) recordings of orchestral works made in October and November 1953 by the pioneering American labels Livingston and Remington.
